Trend Tip: Winter White

With the weather being as frosty as ever, I realize it can be all too tempting to wear dark colors from head-to-toe. But, throwing on a winter white accent can brighten up any ensemble, especially on the dreariest of days!

For a day spent at the South Street Seaport in Manhattan, I wanted an outfit that would leave me feeling as stylish and trendy as my surroundings. Like I tend to do on most winter days, I initially (and almost automatically) opted for a pair of high-waisted black jeans. I then gravitated towards a comfy white high neckline t-shirt with the word “Friday” printed on it…even though it wasn’t actually Friday, we always wish it was right? From there I reached a dilemma: I could either wear my black leather jacket or I could try something different. Even though it seems like a simple choice, I’m indecisive and I knew I wanted more from this outfit than the routine dark tones I usually opt for. With that in mind, I grabbed my favorite white blazer and paired my black and white Alice and Olivia bag to match. Combined with a pair of black snow booties, I was ready to take on the city by storm.

I love the white blazer with this outfit because it brightens it up, sophisticates the t-shirt, and takes the overall ensemble from boring to bold. If you’re looking for an eye-catching accent piece, a white blazer may be just what you need.  So, throw on a winter white blazer for an extra layer of warmth and style on your next adventure!

Until next time,

Katherine
