Food Adventure: Baya Bar

Hi there!

If you’re reading this, then you have successfully made it to my “Food Adventure” section of the blog, and I am very glad you did! I’m super excited to start up this section because 1) I love food (almost) as much as I love fashion, and 2) all too often I search the internet for new food destinations and all too often my searches come up short. If you feel the same, then I hope this section will help inspire you for your next Instagram-able snack or for your next dinner out. Oh, and don’t worry, this section will still give you a lil’ dose of fashion, because without that is a meal even really complete?

Not in my book, people.

With all of that in mind, I couldn’t be more thrilled to open up this section with a review of my new favorite one-stop shop for all things fruity, healthy, and absolutely delicious: Baya Bar. Now, I think we can all agree that it feels good to eat healthy. Like, if I eat a salad for dinner, I don’t feel bloated AND I feel like I deserve some kind of “good choice” award. But, does it always taste good to eat healthy? Well, that depends…are you eating at Baya Bar, or no?

That is true love right there.

Baya Bar has everything that you could possibly crave for a post-workout bite to eat, a feel-good snack, or a food picture to make all of your Instagram followers jealous, and hungry. Their never-ending menu hosts a multitude of delectable options, from açai, pitaya and kale bowls, to fresh juices and smoothies. With the açai bowl continuing to be a trendsetting snack that’s just as pretty as it is delicious and nutritious, Baya Bar’s multiple locations in Brooklyn and Staten Island, with expansions currently in the works, make it a success story coming at just the right time in the food scene. Between good timing, great products, and affordable prices, they’ve got a very exciting journey ahead of them, and I’m grateful to be a small part of it!

Now, time to get to the good stuff. When I arrived at Baya Bar, I was automatically transported from the uncomfortably cold wintery weather that New York is currently sporting to a tropical paradise right in the heart of Brooklyn. The decor screamed beach-bound getaway, complimented by bright colors, fruit lining the walls, a chalk menu surrounded by sketched palm trees, and even a plastic monkey hanging out by the blenders (which is known as the stores good luck charm, how cute is that?). Although, in terms of the food, they don’t need any luck selling their amazing products.

Baya Bar was generous enough to give me three of their delicious products: the Bella Nutella açai bowl, a customized version of the Copa Cabana pitaya bowl, and a customized Coconut Smoothie. Now, prepare yourself for descriptions and pictures below.

The Bella Nutella: Açai base topped with granola, bananas, strawberries, coconut shavings, Nutella drizzle, honey and blueberries (both added at my request)

The Copa Cabana: Pitaya base topped with coconut shavings, kiwi, pineapple, bananas and cookie butter drizzle (again, both added at my request because cookie butter? How am I supposed to say no to that…)

The Coconut Smoothie: Coconut, banana, coconut milk, organic coconut water, with chia and cookie butter (you guessed it, added at my request because, seriously, once I heard they had cookie butter I just ran with it)

What I love about Baya Bar is their commitment to healthy, fresh ingredients that’s as important to them as the satisfaction and happiness of their customers. With options to customize orders, they are more than happy to hear your preferences and make it happen. In my eyes, that’s a level of dedication that takes a business from being good to being excellent, and Baya Bar is certainly no exception to that rule. Additionally, Baya Bar’s sprawling menu stands apart from the rest as it offers unique, health-conscious, creative products with special attention devoted to a cohesive brand experience and detail-oriented presentation. It is obvious that Baya Bar is a step above the rest, standing apart from the competition and making a noteworthy name for itself in the ever-growing health food industry.

Simply put: I had an absolutely amazing time at Baya Bar, and to say that I’m grateful for the experience would be an understatement. I feel passionate about their growing business, and it is safe to say that their customer service, their healthy and deliciously addictive products, and their overall experience will keep me coming back for years to come. Whether you like healthy food, good food, fresh food, pretty food, or all of the above, Baya Bar is the place for you. So, take a trip over to Brooklyn or Staten Island and indulge in everything that Baya Bar has to offer, I promise it is worth the trip and so much more!

Until next time,
