Hello there readers! What did you guys do for your spring break?! Let me share some hot spots and some outfit tips from my lil’ getaway to Miami!
So, I happen to be very lucky because my best friend lives in Miami (shoutout to Jen hehe) and I finally got the chance to visit her after years of planning and hoping for some free time. Once I arrived at her beautiful apartment in the heart of Miami, we hit the streets and found ourselves at the Wynwood Walls, a must-see spot in the sunshine state. We walked around the beautiful art district and grabbed some delicious artisanal doughnuts from The Salty Donut. For a jam-packed day like that, I needed an outfit that was comfortable, cute and just a tiny bit artsy for my artistically themed day. I chose a fringed jean skirt, a red off-the-shoulder eyelet crop top with puffed sleeves, my Adidas and a summer-inspired beaded and threaded shoulder bag.
Day two definitely deserved a pool-side day, for which I couldn’t resist wearing my brand new blush Kenneth Cole one piece. Okay, this bathing suit cost a pretty penny (or like a million pennies), but it is totally worth it because it is so unique, flattering and comfy!
Side note – if you’re looking for a brunch place make sure you go to Morgan’s in Wynwood, the waffles are genuinely life changing.
After a third (and last, sadly) day of adventure and relaxation, a night out at Lagniappe was the perfect end to a perfect few days. This wine bar has a shabby chic New Orleans vibe with the finest wines you could ask for. It’s outdoor seating, live music and eclectic style makes it a worthwhile spot that calls for a worthy outfit. In the spirit of Miami’s summery vibe, I opted for a pair of pink high-waisted trousers and a white tied-up crop top. This look was classic and feminine with a dash of tropical flavor, which was exactly what I pictured for my last night in Miami.
My Miami trip was a blast, full of good company, delicious food and summertime style. As I finish up this blog post and look back on all of my pictures and memories, I just have one question: When can I go back again?!
Until next time,
